Unis Demolition Company prides itself on its professionalism, diligence and expertise in the demolition industry.
Our highly-skilled team is the backbone to our success. Many of our employees, including Operators, Truck Drivers and Laborers, were hired over 30 years ago by Ralph Unis Sr.
Their skill-set and experience is unmatched in the industry. We appreciate you visiting our website and hope you choose us for your demolition, excavation and asbestos-abatement needs!
Over 50 years ago, Ralph Unis Sr. started off in the trucking business. Soon after, he expanded into the salvage and demolition industry.
Before cranes, backhoes and excavators were used as the sole method of demolishing a structure, Unis Demolition Company tore down buildings piecemeal by hand, followed by minimal debris clean-up with a machine. Salvaged material was then brought back to Unis’ Salvage Yard in Aliquippa, PA where acres of coveted building materials were sold.
As the years went by, Ralph’s son, Ralph Unis Jr. became an integral part of the family business. It was through his hard-work and dedication that Unis Demolition Company grew exponentially. Now, Ralph Unis Jr. and his daughter, Nicole Unis carry on the family legacy.

Jim Hill of Aliquippa, an employee of Unis Demolition, painstakingly removes bricks a few at a time from the old State Theater in Aliquippa. This hand work has to be done to keep debris from falling on a nearby building. Demolition of the theater, which was built in 1921, has been the subject of a 2.5-year battle and will cost the county $23,000 in federal money.
A backhoe operator from Unis Demolition tears down the facade of the Oriental Theater Friday in Rochester.
